HIGH SCHOOL NOTES NUMBER© Speaking contests have, in many schools, become annual and note- worthy events. In schools where it is impossible to teach a regular course of elocution, they are espec- ially desirable, for the rhetorical Work during the year and the final contests are of much benefit to the pupils. Heuvelton School'is this year giv- ing its first contest, May 10 and we hope to make it such, a success as will meiit the hold-in, g of an Annual Contest. Judges from out-of-town have been secured and their com- ing will add to the interest of the occasion. To meet the expenses of judges, hall and programs an en- trance fee of $.20 is charged. An evening of good entertain- ment is promised. Come out and hear the girls and boys, and help support the school by your interest. The program begins promptly at 8 o'clock, in Ferris Hall. Remem- ber the date, May 10th. PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH NOTES The regular services will be held Sunday. Preaching by the Pastor at 10:30 a. m. and 7:30 p. m. Bible School at 11:45 a. m. Prayer-meeting on Wednesday evening. The installation of the Rev. J. C. Langford as pastor of the churches at Heuvelton and Flackville will take place Wednesday at 2 p. m. the Rev. W. C. Mclntyre of Ogdens- burg will preach the sermon, the Rev. C. E. Fay of Morristown will deliver the charge to the people and the Moderator of the Presby- tery will preside and deliver the charge to the pastor.
