THE BEE FLORENCE B. BEATTIE CHAPTER 0. E. S. AND VANHEUVELLODGEF.ANDA.M. INSTALL OFFICERS. At a stated meeting of Florence B. Beattie Chapter on Tuesday Evening, Jan. 1st, Van Heuvel Lodge and Florence B. Beattie Chapter held a joint installation of officers. Bro. W. B. Hutchinson W. P. Patron acting as installing officer with Sister Lorena Mayne W. P. Matron Marshall and Bro. Ivan Wheater assistant marshall installed the following officers in the Chapter. Eva Gray Worthy Matron James Bell Worthy Patron, Carrie Fleetham associate Matron, Jennie Cook Treasurer, Lura Snyder Secre- tary, Fannie Dollar Conductress, Iva Coons assosiate Conductress, Inez Tann Chaplain, Vina Todd Marshall, Hattie Ducett Historian, Lucy Carr Organist, Deborah Har- grave Adah, Lida Bell Ruth, Sarah Smithers Ester, Mary Brecketiridge Martha, Minnie Hurlbut Electa, Margaret Creighton, Sarah Havens and Ivan Wheater, Trustees. Carlos Blood in a few well chosen words presented to the retiring Worthy Matron, a beautiful pie casserole with aluminum pie plate and silver pie knife, a gift from the Chapter. The following officers of Van Heuvel Lodge F. & A. M. were installed by Pact Master Carlos Blood assisted by Past Master Walter Millard, W. M. Charles Hutchinson, S. W. Henry G. Mayne J. W. Frank Breckenridge, S. D. W. B. Hutchinson, J. D. Frank Creighton, Treasurer F. L. White, Secretary O. J. Best, Chaplain Rev. C. E. Hastings, S. M. of C. Thomas Rabey, J. M. of C. James Bell, tiler Edward Tann. At the close of the work, a delicious banquet was served by the Master Masons. FISHCREEK ROAD Everybody seems to be busy gett ing up their wood. Miss Eva Morris returned home Friday night after spending a few days with her cousin Mildred Morris. Mr. and Mrs. Dorwin Gilson and Grace Overacker spent New Years at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Will Morris. Fred Morris spent Monday in Heuvelton. Sherman Perry is gaining slowly. Marion Rowland returned to school, Monday, after a two weeks vacation. The Red Cross met with Mrs. C. E. Giffin Jan. 8th. They have a lot of work on hand tc do. PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH NOTES Services at the first Presbyterian church Heuvelton, Jan. 13, 10:30 a. m. and 7:30 p. m. Sunday school following the morning ser- vice. Services' at. Floyd Breckenridge arrived home Monday from New York City, to spend the balence of the winter here. He says it is terriable cold in the city, owing to the scarcity of fuel. WEST LAKE ROAD Jan. 10—'The weather still con- tinues very cold, with a light snow fall which has inproved the sleigh- ing a great deal. Martha Holmes returned to her school Monday after a two weeks vacation. , Geo. Devendorf is working for Hobert Parks. Mrs. Lawyer and son Estes spent Jan. 2, at Wm. Morris. Blanche and Erwin Holmes were callers at A. Gascon's. Wednesday. Charles Barley spent Monday in Depeyster. A. Gascon and daughter Arlie were in Heuvelton Wednesday. A large crowd attended the Red Cross dance at Pope Mills last Fri- day night, all reported a good time.
