Popple, and E. H. Fletcher, entered the home of Agues McClellan ai;d fouiid the house full of coal gas, and David McClellan dead in bed and his sis- ter, Agnes, just alive, who died a few minutes after the discouvery. . Dr. Graham was summoned as quickly as possible but was unable to render any effective assistance. Corner Stillwell, after viewing the remains in the afternoon deemed an inquest unnecessary. Mr. McClellan formerly lived at Norwood, where he has a wife and a son, also, one daughter in New York city. The Funeral was held from the home in this village, Wednesday, at 2 P. M. Miss McClellan was interred in the Heuvelton cemetery, and Mr McCieHan's remains were taken to Norwood for burial, on the 6:17 train. The services were conducted by Rev. Nevins of the Presbyterian church. The pall-bearers were, Fred Britten, Will McClellan, Clint McClellan, and John Reed, all rela- ftives of the departed. Mrs. McClellan was 76 years of age and Mr. McClellan was 66 years. LOCAL NEWS NUMBER *** Mr. W. P. West and family spent Christmas with Mr. A. W. Roulston and family at Rensselaer Falls. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Seaver, of Mexico N. Y., arrived in town, Monday, to spend Christmas with Mrs. Seaver's parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. McCoy, and family. Mr. and Mrs. Alex Smithers and Miss Viola, spent Christmas with Leslie Smithers and family of Mor- ristown. A most bountiful and templing wedding Weakfast was served after which, th* happy coupple left on the 9 o'ek^ck train for their honey- moon. Mr. and Mrs. Bell are much bekwed in this community and all extend hearty congratula- tions and best wishes for a long, happy, a&4 prosperous wedded lifet. MAUDE nized at 9 A.
