For the library of the supreme court in the second judicial district in Brooklyn, for the purchase of books to be paid on bills thGrefor audited by a majority of the trustees having charge of said library, the sum of two thou- sand dollars. For care und cleaning of the rooms of the state library, regents' office, examination, ex- tension, public libraries and duplicate depart ments, and other rooms occupied by the unt versity of the state in the basement and on the first, third, fourth and fifth floors of the capitol; and for janitor, watchman, porters, running two elevators, labor of cleaning aml handling books, and for necessary repairs, fittings and supplies connected with the jani- torial department,\to be paid on vouchers duly authenticated by the regents as for their other expenses, ten thousand dollars. For the second judicial district law library at Newburgh, for the purpose of law books and reports, the necessary rebinding of books belonging to said library, and the expense of keeping the books of said library insured againat loss or damage by fire, the sum of one thousand five hundred dollars, to be paid on bills therefor certified by the majority of the trustees having charge of said library. NORMAL §0HOOLS. For the State Normal and Training School at Potsdam, for purchasing lands adjoining said school grounds, the sum of four thousand dollars. For the Normal school at Plattsburgh, for furnishing and completing building already commenced, and for no other purpose, the sum of ten thousand dollars. For the Oswego Normal and Training School, for aiterations, fitting up and equip- ping physical laboratory and manual training- rooms, two thousand dollars. For the Fredonia Normal school, for the im- provement of the heating apparatus of said school, the sum of one thousand seven hun- dred dollars, or so much thercof as may be necessary. For the State Normal and Training school at Cortland, for fences, grading, brary books, library cases, furniture, et cotera, fire-escupe, flooring balls of old building, and, for a large safe for the keeping of letters, papers, et ceters, the sum of five thousand dollars. For the State Normal school at Buffalo, New York, for the completion of work on fire es- capes, five hundred and twenty-four dollars; for plursbing and-ventilation in pursuance of the requirements of the board of health of the city of Buffalo, three hundred and thirty dot lars. STATUTORY REVISION. For the commissioners of statutory revision, for the prosecution of their work during the year eighteen hundred and ninety-six and to the close of the annual session of the legisla- ture of cighteen hundred and ninety-seven, twenty-one thousand dollars, or so much thereof as muy be necessary, to pay for their services, personal and incidental expenses, clerk hire and printing, as shall be certified to be just and reasonable by the governor, the payment of each commissioner for services not to exceed the rate of two hundred and fifty dollars per month: STATE GEOLOGIST. The sum of eight bundred and fifty dollars, approprinted by chapter three hundred and fifty-cight of the laws of eighteen hundred and ninety-four, for Indian school-houses on the Shinnecock and Poospatuck reservation, is hereby reappropriated for repairs and sup plies for Indian schools on said reservation. The sum of eight hundred and nine dollar: and twonty-five cents, being the unexpended balance of an appropriation made by chapter three bundred ard fifty-eight of the laws of eighteen hundred and ninety-four, for ropairs and supplies for Indian schools on the Tona: wanda reservation, is hereby reappropriated. The sum of three hundred and. sixty-two dollars and eighty-five cents, being the unex- pended balance of an appropriation made by chapter three hundred and Afty-sight of the laws of eighteen hundred and ninety-four, for repairs and supplies for Indian schools of the Saint Regis reservation, is hereby reappropri- ated.
