StereapMcpn exhibitions were given iu the Baptist Church Friday indSfondayovenings. • The pictures Priday evening were Very clear, the lantern working perfectly, but last .light thelanlom seemed \possessed\ or determined to have a fourth of July celebration, much to the cba- ^rin of the exhibitor. The pictures were taken by Mr. .Jaker on his trip to India, during bis sojourn there aud on his re- turn, and were views in Scotland, iSngland, France, Switzerland, Italy, Japan, China, India and tho Sand- wich Islands. Chief interest centered about the irictures illustrating the country rhere for eight years Mr. Baker has ueeii teaching in the Ongole Col- ege. The temples of India with uarveloiis stone carving, 'the tress md foliage with their luxurious growth, tbe customs, homes and ambits of the people, the striking' contrast between the condition of the people before and after the in- fluences of Christian teaching, were vividly portrayed:-. When the lantern works perfectly the entertainment given by Mr... Baker will be most interestjug and instructive. / Attention! To members of American Federa- tion of Labor, local No. 11,080.
