ML 0- A rooms yesterday was unusually in- teresting, in view of the\ fact that it was the 27th anniversary of the formation of the Medina branch. . Excellent music was provided and(addresses, made by Rev. F. T. Latham and Messrs. D, D. Hol- dredge and E. W. Card. Many points of interest were brought out in the addresses, among which was tho fact that Medina was only eleven years later in forming her branch of the association tharr Rochester, a city of much greater size. While the advantages for work along the lines desired by the mem- bers of the association may not yet he as largo as wished, the story of the early hardships of the organiza- tion would lead one to believe that great progress lias been made anil that there is reason for cofidence that tho original hopes of the found- ers will some day be realized. Cffcer Parker went to Albion Saturday afternoon and arrested John Fitzpatrick, whose ten days 1 sentence in Albion jail for intoxica- tion'expired on that day. The chargefor which he was arrested on Saturday was desertion from the U. S. navy. He was brought to Medina Saturday afternoon and'later Officer ing Parker left with his prisoner for the Brooklyn navy yards whore he is wanted. His'identity was fully es- tablished and after being confronted with the desoription of him sent out by the navy department he admitted that he was the man, When he was arrested ten days ago, his description tallied with that which the officers had of the de- serter, and officers Parker and Mc- C'onuick \pumped\ him as tqidenti- ty and became satisfied that he wns the person wanted, and wroto for a more accurate description, which was furnished. A special feature of this play is tho big inter- national yacht race between Sham- rock III and Reliance. 'Have A Look.
