The races were fast and were thoroughly enjoyed by the 2,000 people gathered. William Frank, of Albion, presid- ed at the bell and made a very effi- cient Btarter. The judges wore George Resse- guie, W. B. Kingsley and Peter Halleck. Timers, Charles F. Hurd and Fred Dingledine. The track was in excellent condi- tion and every raw hotly contested. Kyra, owned by Kondalf of Roch- ester, had no troublo winning the three heats in the 2:15 although in the second heat alie was well pressed by Lookhoart, owned by Buret, of Brockport. In the 2:30 Pace, La Thistle, owned by Cook of Rochester, finished easily first in three heats, polling' clear ahead. Summer Peas, owned by Rong of Rochester, won out rather easily tho first and second in the 2:21 pace and 2:18 trot. Mary B., owned by Bacon of Albion, pressed him hard throughout in the third and tho winner was in doubt until the decis- ion of the Judges awarded Peas second place. • The prizes wore 50 percent of the purse for first, 25 per cent second, 15 per cent for third, 10 per cent for fourth. Lockport Team Won. The Lockport baseball team de- feated the Medina club at Lockport yesterday in one of the fastest games of baseball ever played in that city. The score was 4 to 0, and is the first time that Lockport ever scored a victory over Medina, The defeat of yesterday is attributed to the fact that all of the regular Medina team did not play, and with a patched up nine, the shortstop, right fielder and third baseman absent, it is a wonder that the score against Medina was not larger. After the game the Lorkport play- ers were arrested for violating the Sunday laws. They will have a jury trial today. The Medina play- ers were not arrested. We under- stand that the same teams wiU play again in Lockport next Sunday. Wanted. By young couple, small house or part of house for light housekeeping.
