Mrs, \Williams presided with her characteristic graceful dignity, and the program, her prepared, waa pronounced e of the finest ever presentod at a district meeting. MISB Li Bi Gu of Hinghua, China, won all hearts by hor earnest portrayal of the misery of her heathen sisters. Sis years ago, only sixteen years of ago, Miss Li came came to this country, not knowing a word of English, and without a friend in the land. The Presiding Elder, Dr, Congdon, gave a bright, pleasing address, commending the methods of woman's work in missions, Mrs. J. N. SimkinB of Niagara Falls read a very interesting paper on \ Our Work in the Philippines.\ Mrs. Frank Howard sang a solo! She wa3 never in better voice and every smb listened with delight. She was •accompanied by the accomplished musician, Miss Alice Chase. The ladies of Brockport served dinner and supper to the entire assemblage, with most generous hospitality. The attendance WEB the largest in the history of the district and all re- ports showed a gratifying increase in membership and finance. Medina auxiliary leads the District in num- bersand collecting. Much regret was expressed at the refusal of Mrs. Williams to accept the presidency for another year. The following officers were elected.
