Funeral Set Tuesday For - Anna Miles Mrs. Anna~ (Troskuske) Miles, 93, formerly of Chestnut Street, died Thursday evening at the Orchard Manor Nursing Home, where she had been a patient for the last eight years. She was born in Medina on March 25, 1890, the daughter of Anthony and Mary (Gottovi) Troskuske. Mrs. Miles had lived in the Medina area all of her life. She was an elementary school teacher for 52 years. She began her career teaching in a country school on the Ridge Road in 1908. In 1912 she taught in the old Oak Orchard School in Medina until 1955. In 1955 she was one of the first chosen to teach in the new Oak Or- chard Elementary school. She retired in 1960. She was a member of the New York State Teachers Association and a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church of Medina. Her husband, Herbert M. Miles, died March 3, 1966. Mrs. Miles is survived by one sister, Mrs. Chrysteen T. Nelling of Quincy, Pa.; one nephew, William A. Nelling of Chambersburg, Pa. and several cousins. Friends and relatives may call tonight (7-9) at the Barnes- Tuttle Inc. Funeral Held Today For Sylvia Bennett Sylvia Bennett, 74, of Center Road, Town of Kendall, died Friday at Lakeside Memorial Hospital, Brockport, following a long fliness. She was born in Raven swood, W. Va. and had lived in the Kendall area for over 35 years. She was wife of the late Jasper Bennett. Surviving are four sons, Elmer of Lyndonville, Jasper of West Virginia, Raymond of Barker, Charles of Kendall; four daughters, Genevieve Baker of Kendall, Fay Moyer of Kendall, Edna Hering of Waterport, Marie Miller of Medina; one brother, Theodore Anderson of West Virginia; 41 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren. Driver Faces An Array of | Police Charges ALBION - When Daniel W. Lusk, 21, of Thomas Street, Holley, struck a deer on Route 237, Town of Kendall, early Saturday, it was bad news for him as well as for the deer. Lusk was driving on Rt. 237 just north of Creek Road at 1:0 a.m. when he hit the animal. State Police charged him with driving while in- toxicated (a felony with test refusal), also with driving while his license was restricted, driving without insurance and with unlawful possession of marijuana. Justice Sedore set bail at $1,000. . - sal ae e l. Another car-deer 'collision involved a car driven by Marcia L. Morgan, 42, of Oak Orchard Road, Albion. She struck the deer on Rt. 31A just west of Hall Road at 9:30 p.m. Friday. There were no injuries and no charges. Gambling Ring NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (UPI) - Law enforcement agencies were searching for three more suspects after breaking up a major ilegal sports gambling ring in western New York with the arrests of 11 people. The arrests Saturday capped a six-month inv on that was jointly probed by Buffalo and Niagara Falls police, state police and the FBI. A total of 137 riders completed the 25-mile fund raiser and will collect nearly $2,800 for their efforts. One hundred thirty-seven riders rode a total of 25. miles to raise nearly $2,800. The money raised will help to send the band members to the ''*Chocolatetown Band Festival\ in Hershey, Pa. this May. The first boy rider to com- plete the trek was Mike Ar- nold, and the first girl was Robin Pawlaczyk.
