Church for the 10 a.m. nuptials Saturday uniting Miss Sandra Mignano D. Recco in marriage. The Rev. Brian O'Reilly of- ficiated for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dominic Mignano of 15524 W. When presented in marriage by her father, the bride was attired in a long gown of French chantilly lace that gracefully swept from the natural waist to the scalloped train. The gown favored long straight sleeves and _ sabrina neckline. Roses made of matching lace outlined the bustle and pointed to her long train. Tiny seed pearls outlined her . sheer headpiece of organza - petals securing her fingertip veil ._ of illusion. She carried a cascade of white carnations, yellow sweetheart roses, centered with a white orchid and touches of ivy. Miss Linda Karpenko of Holley was matron/of honor. Her floor length gown'\was of yellow nylon acetate taffeta with double puffed sleeves and flower ap- pliques at the empire waist. A self bow and streamers accented the back. Ushering duties were performed by Paul Karpenko and Stuart Harradine. A buffet reception was held following the church ceremony, at the Knowlesville Hotel. There was little news to stir the market. e The Dow Jones industrial average of 30 selected blue-chip stocks was ahead a fraction at 960.87 shortly before noon. Standard & Poor's 500-stock index was up 0.08 at 109.61. Advances led declines, 603 to 507, among the 1,511 issues . crossing the tape. The two-hour turnover amounted to more than 5,250,000 shares. During the first two hours, Curtiss-Wright was the most active NYSE issue, up 15% at 38%. Matsushita Electrical was second, up % at 27%. Telex was third, up % at 10%. Michael Ferri, president of Ferri Supermarkets Inc. of Medina, has confirmed that the firm will erect a food market of about 30,000 square feet in Cheektowaga this summer. It will not affect the Medina food market and family store operation on Orient St., which will continue on its present basis. Mr. Ferri said the new Cheektowaga market, at the corner of George Urban Blvd. and Dick Road, will be adjacent to a branch bank of Liberty National Bank and Trust Co. but will not be directly. connected to a larger plaza. It is expected to be . < open in the fall. The store will be another in the chain of Bells IGA stores, with which the Medina Ferri store is associated. The Bells chain now has 31 stores and thas set a goal of 10 more in the next year. Mr. Ferri said a manager will be selected for the Cheektowaga store. John Cromwell is vice president of Ferri's Super- markets, Inc., while Mrs. Anna Cromwell is secy. and Elizabeth Ferri, treasurer. - -im &C Fisher-Price Toy Co. has revealed that a private bid opening was held yesterday for the construction of a large new plant in an industrial park on the Cattaraugus Indian Reservation at Irving, N.Y. The proposal has been for a 500,000 square foot plant to manufacture, store and ship toys of the growing com- pany. ' Earlier differences with the Serieca Indian leaders have been resolved and the plant will be the fourth for Fisher-Price, which . also is located in East Aurora, Medina and Holland, N.Y. The new plant will be near the junc- tion of Routes 5 and 20 in Irving. -im Purchase of the loéal auto agency known as Cardone Dodge is being made by Lewis A. Wagner of Mill Rd., Ridgeway, and Harley I. Webber, Niagara Falls. Mr. Wagner formerly operated Wildwood Lake, a camping facility north of Ridge Rd., near Jeddo and this is now being . operated by Frank Perkoski of Amherst.
