A. set up it3 gTeat educational programme for our young men overseas the prevailing opin- ion was that the men would be over there much longer than proved to be the case. It now happens that the War Work Council has one million dollars which they believe should be • spent in granting - tree scholarships to aa many men as possible who Berved in the. war. Each county will have a local commit- tee of about five men to consider and pass judgment upon all applications re- ceived from men desiring any special courses in Instruction. - In these rural districts there will surely be a number of men who would like to avail them- selves of some of the many valuable cor- respondence courses which have been now prepared. A special school has been organized in New York city, which will begin business at the beginning 6f the year. Applications might be addressed to myself at the county Y. M. C. A. office, 307 Paul Building, Utica, N. Y. I Bhould expect to collect these applications and I forward them on to the local county I committee having charge of this work I think you will be rendering a real ser- vice by having these facts announced In your local paper.
