This is a change from the usuai 9 a.m.-5 p.m. hours, and is being done on a triai basis. Christmas Concert Rehearsals Rehearsals for the Community Chorus Christmas Concert are continuing at the First Presbyterian Church, 22 Church St., on Sunday afternoons from 3-5 p.m., under the direction of Dan Mosher. The children's choir meets at 2:30 p.m., along with the bell choir. The concert is slated for 4 p.m., Dec. 10 at the First Presbyterian Church. Thursday and Friday, Nov. 23 and 24 Village Offices Closed The Village of Gouverneur and DPW offices will be closed Thursday, and Friday, Nov. 23 and 24 in observance of Thanksgiving. Saturday, Nov. 25 Bake Sale The Gingerbread House Nursery School will hold a bake sale at Ames Department Store on Saturday, Nov. 25 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. A variety of baked goods will be available. Monday, Nov.\27 Board of Education To Meet The Gouverneur Central School District Board of Education will conduct its regular meeting at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 27 in the junior-senior cafeteria. Tuesday, Nov. 28 Fall Athletic Awards Program The GHS Fall Athletic Awards Program for all varsity, junior varsity and modified athletic teams will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28 at the high school auditorium. Athletic awards will be distrib- uted to team members that evening. Thursday and Friday, Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 E-J. Noble Hospital Auxiliary Christmas Sale :: The Gouverneur Hospital Auxiliary hild hold its annual holiday benefit sale at Kinney NursingHome on Thursday, Nov. 30 from 2-8 p.m. and Friday, Dec. 1 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The memory tree dedication will be at 3 p.m. Thursday. Luncheon will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus will visit from 6-8 p.m. Thursday. Gifts, wreaths, trimmings, baked goods, crafts, knits, ornaments, and nearly-new items will be available at the sale. Door prize of a weekend at Riveredge Resort, Alexandria Bay, will be given away. Monday, Dec. 11 — County Seniors Christmas Party CANTON-fhe annual Christmas party of the St. Lawrence County Council of Senior Citizens Inc. will be held at the Presbyterian Church, Park Place, CaQton on Monday, Dec. 11 beginning with a cov- ered dish dinner at 11 a.m. This is for county council officers, delegates, club presidents, the advisory and their spouses. Flu Immunization Clinics The St. Lawrence County Public Health Nursing Service, as part of its Prev^ptative Health Care Pro- gram, will offer flu immunizations to all persons over the age of 55. Persons under 55 with a chronic medical problem (such as diabetes, heart, lungor kidney disease) may receive the vaccine with a written order from their physician. Persons with known allergies to eggs, chicken, chicken feathers or chicken dander should receive the vaccine from their physician. A donation of $3 will be accepted to help defray the cost of the vaccine. Clinics are scheduled as follows. Parking Ban Residents of the Village of Gouverneur are re- . minded that parking is prohibited on village streets from 2 -6 a.m., Nov. 15 through April 15. Residents are urged to comply with this local law to help the village facilitate its snow removal operations. Vio- lators of this parking ban will be ticketed. Head Injury Support Group The North Country Head Injury Support Group of the New York State Head Injury Association meets the first Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m., in the conference room at Canton-Potsdam Hospital. Light refreshments are served following the meeting. r Clinic Openings for Preschool Children The Gouverneur Well Child Clinic has openings for enrollment in the preventive health clinic. Serv- ices are provided for children from age two months until initiation of school and include physical exams, immunizations, developmental screening, simple alb trest, WIC medical evaluation, plus others.
