Persons under 55 with a chronic medical problem (such as diabetes, heart, lung or kidney disease) may receive the vaccine with a written order from their physician. Persons with known allergies to eggs, chicken, chicken feathers or chicken dander should receive the vaccine from their physician. A donation of $3 will be accepted to help defray the cost of the vaccine. Clinics are scheduled as follows: DeKalb Nutrition Site, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wednes- day, Oct 25. Thursday, Oct. 26 Roast Beef Dinner Set The Antwerp and Sprague ville Methodist Churches will conduct a joint family-style roast beef dinner from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct 26, at the Antwerp American Legion Hall. Parking Ban Residents of the Village of Gouverneur are re- minded that parking is prohibited on village streets from 2 -6 a.m., Nov. 15 through April 15. Residents are urged to comply with this local law to help the village facilitate its snow removal operations. Vio- lators of this parking ban will be ticketed. The ban also applies to parking between the sidewalk and the curb. Every Week Veteran's Counselor Visits Office hours for the Veteran's Counselor in Gou- verneur are from noon to 2 p.m., the second and fourth Thursdays of each month, at the American Legion home on Main Street. In the event that not everyone has been seen by 2 p.m., the counselor will stay until all are served. GHS Board of Education Meetings The Gouverneur Central School District Board of Education meets on the fourth Monday of the month at 7:30 p.m. in the junior-senior cafeteria in the high school building, unless otherwise noted. All such meetings are open to the public. The board has also designated the second Monday of the month as its working committee meeting night, to be used as needed. WIC Program The Women, Infant and Children (WIC) supple- mental foods and nutritional education program holds New People Clinics on an ongoing basis. Head Iitfury Support Group The North Country Head Injury Support Group of the New York State Head Injury Association meets the first Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m., in the conference Toom at Canton-Potsdam Hospital. All head injured survivors and their families, as well as interested professionals, are invited to attend. Light refreshments are served following the meeting. Women's Self-Help Group to Meet A facilitated self-help group for women surivivors of child abuse began Oct. 18, and will continue for the next 10 weeks.
