The club contacted a printing company about the processing of covers. Stuart A. Cameron, Regional Wildlife Manager, of Regi<*n 6 announced that the semi-annual waterfowl migration seems to be in full swing with more birds arriving each day. Interested persons are invited to use the observation areas at Perch River \Wildlife Management Area and Wilson Hill Wildlife Management Area. The facilities are located on the Vaadi Road and Allen Road at Perch River and New York Route m at Wilson Hill. Waterfowl 'which can be expected to be seen are Canada Geese with a possible Snow or Blue Goose mixed into the flock. Mallards, Pintails, Blue-winged Teal, Shoveler. Black Duck. Wood Duck. Bald- pate. Gad wall and Grebes are a few of the species to be seen. A good bird book and a pair of binoculars are recommended for the serious bird watcher and waterfowl hunter. These provide great assistance in learning to identify waterfowl in the water and in the air from flight pattern and shape. Other areas where waterfowl may be observed are Henderson Pond and Crystal l>ake in the Town of Henderson. Lakeview Wildlife Management Area and Natural Beach Area near Woodville. French Wildlife Management Area near Clayton, Upper and Lower I^ikes Wildlife Management Area near Canton and the Ashland Wildlife Management Area near Three Mile Bay Parking and ob- servation facilities at these locations are limited or non- existent and most observations can be made from the roadside. The best times for observation are early morning or late af- ternoon when birds are actively feeding in surrounding corn- fields However, on cloudy overcast days birds will feed almost all day and can be ob- served in many cornfields in the CINDY FRENETTE from Tupper Lake, a freshman at SI'NY Canton ATC, placed first in both the women's slalom and 'giant slalom on her way to capturing the skimeister award at thr combined National Junior < olle.ge Athletic .Association <NJ( A A i^ Region .-III and National Junior ( olletii- Ski ( hampionships at l^kf Placid, V-\ York Man h 5 and 6 In addition ( md> ha*< \%on everv slalom and eiant slalom in which she has skied this season COME SEE \POOR JOHN for YAMAHA MOTORCYCLES ot Co NESCQ 9 A M I'M Vo< Trf 5 r»e tr.e <>l>7r.p.cs l '~ reta ch.idrer.
