N-M offers Targets Again this fall Niagara Mohawk is offering free rifle targets to shooters and hunters across upstate New York. The utility is repeating its annual effort to remind marksmen that it makes more sense to shoot at a target than at an insulator supporting electric wires. Most responsible hunters understand this, but each year many in- sulators become targets for unthinking shooters. The utility warned that shot insulators could fail. cutting electric power entire communities. to During 1981, across Niagara Mohawk's system, there were 28 confirmed instances of in- sulators being destroyed by gunfire, causing disruption of electric ser- vice. Certified Hunter Safety class instructors and members of fish and game clubs, as well as the general public, may pick up a supply of the free targets at any Niagara Mohawk district office. I.
