A m o n g 19 indictments r e t u r n e d by t h e E s s e x County grand j u r y in S u p r e m e Court at Elizabe-thtown last Friday w a s one a g a i n s t W a l - ter L. Moore, 56, of T i c o n d e r o g a , village clerk here for m o r e t h a n 20 years, charging misappropria- tion by a public officer and p e t i t larceny. The case arose frotm a formal c o m p l a i n t filed a g a i n s t Mr. M o o r e by Mayor John B e v i l a c q u a l a s t A u g u s t c h a r g i n g petit l a r c e n y in the a m o u n t of $6.97, a l l e g e d l y a part of village p a r k i n g m e t e r r e - ceipts. Included in the i n d i c t m e n t returned against Mr. Moore w e r e e i g h t other alleged i n s t a n c e s of petit larceny in the period f r o m July 20 through Aug. 17, p u r p o r t - edly shortages in o t h e r p a r k i n g m e t e r receipts. The s u m s i n v o l v e d a s listed in the i n d i c t m e n t w e r e $6.10, $3.59, $7.98, $7.62, $7.97, $7.- 17, $8.03 and $4.58.
