The \bob-tail locomotive, Thos. Dick- son has been taken out of the house and is now doing the switching for the Crown Point Iron Co. The High School cadets will hold a competitive drill at Academy Hall, Fri- day evening, May 8th, Arbor Day. Probably three prizes will be given for excellence in the manual. Daniel McNutt, the efficient clerk at the Crown Point House, will occupy the tenement in £. S. Harrington's house. Mr. McNutt will remain at the Crown Point House anotbpr year. John VV. McVine baa decided to re- move to Gardner, Mai a. He will close out his stock as far as possible, and move the remainder. He hopes to get away by June 1. John's departure will be deeply regretted. The graduating class of the high school has organized by the election of George A. Warner, president; Miss Net- tie D. Locke secretary and treasurer. They have elected Miss Jessie Buckman salutatorian and Miss Mary M. Wash- burne valedictorian. The Lorth furuace was lighted Sunday afternoon.
