Howard Bryant'and family were in Salamanca Tuesday. A birthday party was given to Edna and Rufus Bryant a t the home of Howard Bryant Saturday night. All reported a good time. Max King called on Albert Bova Tuesday night. [Charles Smith was a caller at the home of Sara Stone Monday. (Frank Eldridge and family are spending some time at the nurses’ cottage. Asa Barnes’ camp is nearly com pleted. ■Eva Spencer spent Monday night at her cottage. Sara Stone and Mae Dunn have returned from Toronto, Can. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Bryant spent Sunday evening with Prank Eldridge. .’Ray Barnes called on Martha Johnston Monday night. Lawrence Kerr has moved here to work for Lyle Gates. Albert Bova spent a part of Tues day at Otto. Martha Johnston was shopping in Salamanca Saturday. Mending Tip To mend a clean-cut tear, button hole stitch both sides of the cut and join together by lacing the stitches through the center. This makes a neat and durable darn. On table linen, this type of mending will be practically unnoticeable.
