Special meetings beginning Mon day evening, June 3, and continuing until June 16 are now in progress at the Free Methodist church under the direction of the Rev. L. R. Guillermin of Forestville. ‘Rev. Mr. Guillermin was the evangelist in charge of the meetings at the Brook lyn ehureh last year. 'Mrs. Goldie Baldwin, Lawrence Barber of Ellicottville visited the Woodard home. Mrs. Asa Wpodard went home with them Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Ireland were out from Kenmore over Sunday. May Sprowl, Jean and Jane Brooks, Mary Russell and Jeanne Wehust journeyed to Buffalo and Niagara Fails with the Cattaraugus high school class in H'omemaking Friday, visiting the shredded wheat plant and the home of Fro joy ice cream. Several carloads from the north ern part of town attended mission ary service at the >Free Methodist church, Cattaraugus, Wednedsay night to hear Mr. and Mrs. Nahum Perkins ,missionaries, home on a fur lough from San Domingo, speak. The fact that several people from Gowanda where Rev. Mr. Perkins had spoken the previous night came to Cattaraugus to hear him again, was evidence of his ability. ‘The Rev. and Mrs. William Holi day went to the Free Methodist camp ground, Cattaraugus, Thursday to attend the moving bee. iOn Thursday, Mr. and Mrs. Asa Woodard, DeHart Woodard, Carl Spring and Mrs. Ona Church motor ed to Cherry Creek. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Scott and daughter Shirley Anne, ‘Perry, visit ed Mr. and Mrs. Paul Stoltenburg, Crumb Hill, Thursday. Mrs. Grace Sanderson and Glen Barber were in Cattaraugus, Mon day. Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe D. Mason, Collins, and Mrs. Lois Rawlings, Rochester, called on relatives in town Wednesday and visited the East Otto cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. Opferbeck was giv en a surprise party Thursday night, celebrating his birthday. Goodrich at th e G e n e ral Hospital, who had un dergone a surgical operation the previous Monday and is doing as well as could be expected. Miss 'Max ine Goodrich returned home with them. Lee Murphy have moved into the upper flat. Gold, Cattaraugus, who is suffering with a broken leg. Melvin Phillips is painting the Berg drug store.
