The.trial of Lev! McConley, for the murder of his wife, near Cheever Ore Bed, in the town of Moriab, in the montfi of July, 1888, begun at an adjourned term of the BsBex Oyer & Terminer, Hon. Joseph Potter presiding, on the l(Hh inst. Court convened at 9 olclock, and the work of drawing a jury was commenced. Hopper, sworn for the people, says: Am a practicing physician and sur- geon in Port Henry; resided there nearly 11 years.
