Dan Jr. watches Dan Valle grill the hamburgers while Dorothy sets the table with the help of Marie and Jimmy. Going to the polo matches on Sunday and making it a family outing at the same time is fast catching on in Westchester. Staff Photographer Ray Hoover visited Blind Brook Polo Club in Purchase and found the Dan Valles of Eastchester picnick ing , conversing with the stars and watching the action a pleasant way to spend a summer afternoon. .Dan is the popular star of the \Breakfast with VaN\ program Monday through Fridays on WFAS. As a boy living in Port Chester, he was a frequent visitor to Blind Brook. Some 10 years ago, he broadcast the matches. Now, Valle finds he has four other polo fans in the family, his wife, Dorothy, sons Dan Jr., nine,and James, six, and MaVie, eleven months. Blind Brook turf is in the same excellent condition as when laid down in 1922 by the late John McEntee Bowman, the man who also built the Westchester Biltmore now the Westchester Country Club. MacGache of White Plains is the present owner. Polo at Blind Brook, which brings together some of the country's top riders, runs each Sunday from early June to late October. Westchester
