The North Castle Red Cross Branch was the first branch to reach its goal. Edwin C. Lind- strom of Armonk, fund chairman of the North Castle Branch, re ported a total of $5,141 contributed to date, surpassing the quota of $4,400. \All branches will continue their Red Cross campaigns for mem bers and funds until the Westches ter chapter quota has been raised,\ James F. Man, Wife Hurt As Cars Collide In Snow A Stanwood, Mount Kisco, man and his wife were hurt slightly Friday afternoon when involved in an auto crash during a snow storm that was also responsible for sev eral other traffic mishaps in this region. Fred and Elizabeth Carlson suf fered leg injuries when a car in which they were passengers col lided with another vehicle on Pines Bridge Rd. Bedford Police reported the cars were operated by Sidney Baumann of Yorktown and Everett Given of Lakeside Rd., Stanwood. Grand Union Opens Market in Florida Grand Union has opened Its 12th supermarket in Florida, it was an nounced today by Lansing P. Shield, President of the rapidly ex panding Eastern food chain. The 28,000 square foot market in Riviera Beach at the intersection of U. S. Highway 1 and 30th street which opened Wednesday (March 19) has customer customer park ing for 300 cars. It is the third new Grand Union to be opened this yeap and brings to 382 the number of stores operated by the company along the eastern seaboard from Canada to Florida.
