County Bills Sent to Desk Of Governor By Staff Correspondent ALBANY — Six Westchester- sponsored bills, having passed in both'houses of the Legislature, are before Gov. Harriman for action. They include: 1. Authorization for the Village of Ardsley to pay $5,600 for haul age fees to Kipp Bros. Inc., of Ardsley. 2. An arterial highway plan in fire commissioners of the Mill- New Rochelle, reducing from 6 miles to 1.5 miles the amount of construction to be done by the state. The reduction was made at the request of the. City Council. 3. A highway plan calling for five arterial- routes cutting New Rochelle roads. 4. A bill legalizing the acts of the wood Fire District in New Castle in regard to establishment of a capital reserve fund in the Chappa qua National Bank. 5. A measure changing tax lien dates in Westchester County, sought by the Board of Supervisors. 6. A bill allowing field trials by sportsmen at any time on a shoot ing preserve. The award, made by the Nation al Concrete Masonry Association of Chicago and announced at its annual convention, was presented to the Bedford Hills company for having no lost time accidents for the one-year period. Contagious Ills Total 23 Cases Twenty-three new cases of com municable disease have been re ported by the Department of Health of the County of West chester, in the northern area, for the week ending March 22. Pound Ridge reported 12 cases of measles, with one each in Bed ford and Croton. Pound Ridge also had six -cases of chickenpox. Briarcliff Manor reported one case of scarlet fever and two cases of German measles.
