Page 7 Gouverneur Tribune Press Thursday, December 11,2008 Singer and Songwriter Ann Walseman releases Christmas CD Singer and songwriter Aan Walseman has just released a Christmas CD entitled, \The Simple Beauties of Christmas,\ featuring a collection of fifteen Christmas classics and original compositions. Walseman is a north country native (from Croghan) and has performed extensively throughout New York State, including St. James Catholic Church, Gouverneur. She is the sister of Michelle Fuller of Gouverneur. Accompanied by premier Syracuse pianist and guitarist Andy Rudy, Walseman introduces five original compositions including The Harmony of Christmas, Miracle (The Snowflake Song), Dancin' On The Christmas Train, Christmas Morning Song andPeaoe And Joy. Christmas classics include I'll Be Home for Christmas, Silent Night, Mary Did You Know, Sleigh Ride, Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree, It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year, Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire, Winter Wonderland & Christmas Time Is Here. The CD was recorded at Subcat Music Studios, Skaneateles. \The songster this CD are the types of songs you can listen to while enjoying the holidays with family & friends around a fireplace or sit and quietly listen to,\ said Walseman. \It's a veiy eclectix mix of songs — both classic, fun and inspirational - because I wanted to create music that presents the many facets and gifts of the season.\ Walseman said that Rudy is a very versatile artist and that his piano interpretations were \magical.\ Rudy has diverse musical credits such as producing and composing music for a Fox children's TV show, \Tales from the Updump\ and fills the touring keyboard position with rock vocalist Benny Mardones. He is also a studio musician who has performed on many recording projects. \These are songs that I think we can all relate to,\ said Walseman. \1 call this recording the coming together of the human and divine element of Christmas, because it features songs such as Sleigh Ride and Winter Wonderland, and songs that are more inspirational, such as the Harmony of Christmas and Miracle.\ Walseman previously released two CD's of original contemporary Christian songs recorded in Nashville, TN entitled \Spirit Sailing\ and \Where Truth Leads.\ She is known for her ability to connect with her audiences on a personal level, and has performed at hundreds of South Edwards Ann Walseman, sister of Michelle Fuller has just released a Christmas CD. Under Seven Steeples: December 13—Men's breakfast at Edwards Methodist Church Santa will pay a visit at the Edwards Fire Hall at 10am. Russell Methodist Church Coffee House with gospel music. December 20— Christmas service at DeGrasse Methodist Church at 7pm, December 21—South Edwards Methodist Church will host a social and fellowship time following the 9:30qm service. Participants are asked to bring finger foods. John Hendrick is recovering from a fall that happened at his home last week. Dick Brown is on the mend after surgery. The crowd enjoyed this non -traditional Christmas show.
