Judging will begin at 1pm. All items will remain on display throughout the fair week. Each year the Home Arts Department has a fundraiser. This year's project is a very special quilt. The quilt was made from the triangles left over from the star points of the mini memory quilts by the \Tribute to the Troops Project.\ The quilt will be on display each day of the fair at the Home Arts Department. Take a chance on this beautiful Patriotic Pinwheel Quilt. The local project of \Tribute to the Troops\ started about a year ago by members of the Ladies Wednesday Nite Group at Hart Country fabrics inRichville. They enlisted the help of the Richville Rockets 4-H Club, the youth group from United Church, Members of Borderline Quilts in Canton, The Quilter's Quorum of Potsdam and friends from Fowler. • Contributions have been received from Joe and Marilyn Laurenza, Canton VFW and Auxiliary, Gouverneur Kiwanis Club, North Country Street Stuff, Inc; Bill Lacey, Social Supper club of United Church, Donna Finnerty, Rita Barker and others. Fabric has been donated by Susan Cazziol of Phoenix fabrics, Hammond, Sharon Sawyer, Pat Bluto, Carol Swift, Marlene Hart, and the Richville rockets 4-H Club. Members of the 4-H, Ladies Wednesday Nite group, and 4-H leaders traveled to Fort Drum to deliver the first 34 quilts. Atotal of 200 have been .delivered to the\ wounded warriors unit, about half what is needed. The quilts are now made with star points that have no left over triangles so the \Patriotic Pinwheel\ quilt is one of a kind. Also, volunteers are needed to \man\ the booth during the fair. Each day is split into 3 or 4 hour shifts. If you are interested in helping please call 287-3250.
