The same cannot be said about Bob Anderson, a former Gouverneur resident, who recently celebrated his 70\' with a four- day ski trip with his five sons. Mr. Anderson celebrated his 70th birthday on March-9\' at the Sugarbush Ski Resort in Vermont. All five sons joined him for a four-day ski trip at the resort. Tbe family first started skiing at Juniper Hills in Hamsvilleinl970. Bob graduated from Gouverneur High School in 1956 where he was football standout under coach Frank LaFalce. He owned and operated the W.T. Anderson Lumber Corp. until its sale in 1979; it was a third generation business. He still works full time as the Northern Regional Manager for Burns Brothers Contractors, Potsdam, the firm is based in Syracuse. Bob and his wife, Pat, moved from Gouverneur in 1986, to Aliens Falls Flow, Parishville, where they turned there summer, camp into there , home. They have five sons Ben, who works for the NYS Dept. of Corrections Ogdensburg; Mark of Gouverneur, is employed by Corning Glass; Kris a paper science engineer, is employed by New Page Paper, Rumford, Maine; Patrick is a Physicians assistant in Lowville; and Sean is ceramic engineer employed by Cardinal Glass and resides in Texas. He flew into Burlington in order to make the trip. Bob is an avid downhill skier, going whenever conditions permit. His birthday wish was to be able to ski with each one of his sons as they turn 70.
