They were sic./om panii-'l by Dr. Parries afld the Supenmend- ents of the Poor. The Doctor kindly tx- plained the nature of the insanity and C' -n- diiion of the various insane persons, the sanitary measuies adopted in the institu tion, and other facts of interest. The condition of every department in the Asylum is perfect, and the conv<- nioncesare admirable. Everything bore the appearance of neatness and cleanli ness. What is true of the Asylum may also be said of the buildings occupied by the poor. The old ladies’ department was an interesting sight. Toe cheerful rooms and surroundings, and the contented faces of these aged people, tell the story of how well they are cared for. It was pleasing to hear the eX'?ression8 of many of the inmates, of the kind treatment they recei'^e at the model home for the poor and insane. Tnere is much more to be said in favor of the management of this well and economically conducted institu tion, of the fidthful and conscientious service-! given it by the three Superin tendents of the Poor. Mrs. Monell, too, kind hearted, sympa thetic, with large experience and thor oughly devoted to the work over which she has charge, fully deserves ad the praise given her by those who are cogniz ant of the arduous duties she is called on to perform. The report of the commit tee on Oraoge Farm, which was pub lished a few days ago, is a fair statement of The ’ a iagement of Orange Farm. At 4 o'clock the Supervisors returned to Goshen, well pleased with their visit and what they saw. — M a k e N o M is t a k e .— -If you have made up your mind to buy Hood’s Sarsa parilla do not be induced to take any other.
