Taylor having left the Republican party the County Committee deem it no longer necessary to go to Horseheads to hold their county conventions. Elmira must stand it we suppose till a few of her republican representa- tives enter the \new movement\ and then some other place will be affected. —A good advertising medium will be the \Central New York Conference Directory\ to be issued, this week, by Rev. E. Horr, Jr. It will go into all the families that entertain the \yellow leg\ lovers during their stay in Elmira and be distributed in the First, Hedding, and South Main Street churches. —As there are any number of the \boys\ of the 11 oth who take no other daily paper than the BAZOO , we copy from one ot the old party organs the information that the first annual ex- cursion of the 11 oth batallion will take place to-morrow, at Penn Van, Hammondsport, and so forth. Pa. It is same size, price and style as the BAZOO . We bid it success. —We don't pretend to know much about the dollar of our dad's, but we do know that, when a youth, we generally managed to squeeze out of him fifty cents for every circus. Though it was sometimes necessary to strike to get it, yet, in preference to having business entirely sus pended, the point was gracefully yielded.— Advertiser, And when men, getting only ninety cents a day, strike for the sustenance and comfort of their families the Advertiser is stout in condem- nation.
