The following sums arc hereby appropriated .to the objects hereinafter expressed, to be paid out of any moneys not otherwise appropriated: For pay and mileage of members of the Senate and As- •sembly: for the salaries of the- clerks of the Seriate and Assembly: and for the compensation of the officers^ and messengers of the two Houses, ninety thousand dodars, for the year one thousand eight hundred and forty-seven. For stationery for the legislature and the public offices, to be procured in tlic manner provided by chapter three ■hundred and ten. of the Laws of 1842, three thousand dollars: and the additional sum of one hundred dollars for the agent o fthe Comptroller, for making such purcha ses, to take charge of the same, for the year one thou sand eight hundred and forty-seven. For the repairs of the Capitol and the grounds connect ed therewith, for furniture, for repair and preservation of furniture in the Capitol, to keep the same in a proper condition for public use, including the cleansing ofthe rooms the sum of three thousand dollars, to be expended saprovid-ed in the third section of chapter three hundred and tldrty seven, of the law of 1846.„ <5> 3. For compensation due the members and officers of th e court for the correction of errors, eight hundred dol lars. $ 4. To the commissioners for constructing a road from Carthage, in Jefferson county, to Lake Champlain, in the county of Essex, the sum of fifty-four dollars and sixty- four cents. §5. To Thomas Skelton, for services as a member ofthe committee to examine the Treasury and the Canal and Banking Departments, the sum of one hundred and seven teen dollars. § 6 To Nelson J. Beach, for services as a member of the committee to examine the Treasury and the Canal a.nd Banking Departments, one hundred and ninety-eight dollars. § 7. This a c t shall take effect immediately.
