Gentlemen—Parental feelings induce us to make the following statement of facts in relation tothe important cure of our little daughter, wholly effected by the use of Sands’ Sarsaparilla. For nearly threeyearsshe wasaffiicted with a m o st inveterate eruption on th e body, w h ich a t tim e s was so bad, connected with internal disease, that we despaired of h e r life. T h e com p laint c o m m e n c e d in the roots o f th e hair, and gradually spread until the whole head was envel- oped, and then it attacked the ears, and ran down the neck, •and continuing to increase until it covered the most of the body. Itcom w e n e e d with a sm a ll pim p le or pustule, from which water at first discharged; this produced great, itch ing and burning; ihen matter or pus formed, the skin -cracked and bled, and the pus discharged freely. The snfferings of the child were so great as almost wholly to prevent natural rest, and the odor from the discharges so of fensive as to make itdifficult fo pay that particular atten tion the nature ofthe case required. The disease was cal led Scald Head and general Salt Rheum. We tried vari ous remedies, with little benefit, and considered her case almost beyond the reach of medicine ; but. from the known virtue ofyour Sarsaparilla, we w ee induced to give it a trial. B e fore th e first b o ttle w a s all used, w e perceiv e d an im provem e n t in th e ap p e a rance of the e r u p tio n ; but th e change w a s so r a p id for th e b e tter, th a t w e could scarcely give cred e n c e to th e evidence of o u r own eyes. W e con tin u e d its use for a few w e e k s , a n d the re s u lt is a perfect cu re. Dear Sir—Having just recovered from a most severe Chronic Rheumatism, with which I have been afflicted for many years, and having used various rem.edies without any succeas, 1 am induced to write to you in respect to Sands’ Sarsaparilla, to which valuable medicine I now owe my present enjoyment of health. Despairing of ever re covering from this distressing disease, and, while laboring under the most acute agony und pain, I was persuaded to try the Sarsaparilla so highly recommended for the cure of rheumatism. 1 tried one bottle, and the lillle benefit I derived from that one, induced me to give it a fair triHl, which I did, by 6 endmg down to you for. half a dozen bot tles; and am now happy to say I find myself, for the first time in twelve years, well and able to attend to my neces sary duties. I send you this through a, feeling of grati- tcde, due this excellent medicine, and a sense of obligation to my fellow beings, that those similarly afflicted, may be induced to try this valuable remedy, Sands’ Sarsaparilla. W hen these vessels are weak or diseased, the per spiration is thick and clammy and adheres to the mouths of the pores and clogs them up, and dries and forms scurf or dandruff. Less blood is then carried to the roots o f the hair, and for want of which the h air has not sufficient nourishment, and consequently becomes dry and harsh, and begins insensibly to fall off which continuing to increase, eventually produces baldness. Restore the capilla ry vessels of the head to their former healthy circu lation, and a fine silky new hair will make its. ap pearance which will increase in quantity and vol ume until the hair becomes thick and healthy. J a y n e ’ s H a i r T o n i c is the only preparation that has ever been known to produce new H a ir on Bald Heads, which it has done in innumerable instances, and will seldom tail, if properly and perseveringly used. For the Efficacy of the above medicine, we refer to Gen. Ephraim Robbins J r. of Uaion, whose hair has been restored by the use of it. For sale by L .M . REXFORD, Agent. Jayne’s Expectorant. Binghamton, October 25,1843. 33 Conversations like the above are of daily occurrence.— The more the Balsam is known, the more it is appreciated, and the sale is constantly increasing, from the recommen dation of those who have used it and proved its efficacy.— It is only about a year since this medicine was brought be fore tbc public, and the sale of it has gone beyond our moet sanguine expectations. Hardly a day passes, but wc obtain new evidence ofits superiority over every other preparation in use; either by orders from distant places, or by the testimony of those to whom we have sold by the single bottle. Unlike most preparations ofthe kind, which contain a large quantity of opium, and serve only to pal liate, (not to cure) the disease, this medicine gives perma nent relief. It not only sscms to do good at first, but a continued use of it shows plainly thal it is a valuable prep aration, and one that under ordinary circumstances will do more towards the cure of consumption, and the coughs and colds thatlead to that dreadful disease than can possibly be effected hy any other treatment.
