Austin of Malone, were married at St. Mary's Church, Massena at 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25. The Keeneth Wheeling officiated. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs, Bernard Brown of 25 Bidgewood Ave., this vill- age. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Austin of 26 Francis St., Potsdam. Given in marriage by her parents, the bride was attired in a long silhouette gown of imported chiffon velvet, fas- hioned with an oval neckline and long sleeves. Motifs of Swiss lace embellished the neckline and were repeated on the A-line skirt and Manttle train. Her shoulder length veil of illusion was held by an open Queen's crown of crystals and pearls. She carried a cascade of white roses. Miss Joan Savage was maid of honor for her sister. She wore an empire A-line gown of royal blue chiffon velvet, made with an oval neckline and long sleeves. An underlay of light blue satin formed an inverted pleat at the front of the skirt, and a matching bow accented the waistline. A matching pill box with circle veil completed her ensemble. Miss Sylvia Hart and Miss Maureen Sojdak, both of Syra- cuse, were bridesmaids. They wore ensembles like that of the maid of honor's except that the pleats and headpieces were in heartbeat blue. Miss Judy Lee Brown and Miss \Winnie Mae Brown were junior bridesmaid and flower girl, respectively. They wore light blue velvet gowns with ro- yal blue trim. Their matching headpieces were self bows in royal blue with light blue trim. George Williams of Ghase Mills, was best man. Ushers were Derek Williams, brother- in-law of the bridegroom, Route No. 2, Potsdam, John Daley, cousin of the bride, Walton Beach, Fla. A reception was held at the Elks Club. The bride was graduated from Holy Family High School in 1965 and from Maria Regina College, Syracuse, in 1967. She is a senior at the State Univer- sity College at Potsdam, study- ing for a B.A. degree in Educa- tion. The bridegroom was graduat- ed from Potsdam High School in 1965, and served for two years in the U.S. Army. He is a Metropolitan Life Insurance agent at Malone. Mr; and Mrs. Everett.
