Little Miss Tina Festa stayed here to spend the week with her grandparents, the Fred Peters, Mrs. Mary Daly and Mrs. Mc Grath of Liberty visited Monday at the home of Mr. and. Mis. Fred Mootz. Anniversary congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. R, W . Schrumpf who cele brated theirs Friday the 18th. The Faithful Workers 4-H Club met Friday afternoon at the. home of their leader, Mrs. Fred Hessinger and elected the following new officers for the coming year, President, Linda Bury; Vice Pres., Janet Keeler; Se cretary, Gertrude Graner; Treasurer, Susan Bury; News reporter, Cheryl Noetzel; Songleader,. All but two of the girls attended the 4-H Achievement night held at the Jeff- ersonville-Youngsiville Central School auditorium later that evening. Mrs. Adda Keeler spent a few days last week with the Edward Ackerly family in Roscoe and attended the funeral on Tuesday of Mr. Ackerly’s aun,t, Mrs. Mabel Knapp, aged 85 held at the Stewart Funeral Home in Roscoe. Mr. and Mis.Adolpf Edelman are planning to leave this week for a Florida ivacation. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Bill of Tup- per Lake in the Adirondack Mts., spent a few days this past week at the' Preston Abplanalp home. Mrs. Bill is the forme]; Avis Carbary, a lifelong friend of Mrs, Abplanalp and a retired teacher for the past 2 years. The couple were married on Thursday of last week and left on Saturday for a honeymoon trip to Florida. Mr. and Mrs. Reginald Bell spent Sunday visiting relatives in Long Eddy. Cheryl Quiniass, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Quiniass is under treatment for injuries, received in an auto accident last week. Misses Loma and Helen Adams of Long Eddy visited friends in town on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. George Currie drove to Oswego on Saturday where they visited their daughter Bonnie a fresh man at the State Teachers College there. She has been ,on the sick list but her parents found her much improved. Mrs. Eleanor Klumpp is serving on jury at MonticeHo. -- ' Mr. and Mrs. Karl Spielmann and son Glenn visited relatives in Han kins on Sunday. Local firemen are rejoicing over the success of their annual roast beef supper held on Saturday evening Oc tober 28th. It is reported, that about 1200 people were sewed. Mrs. Hannah Prial of Brooklyn has vacated her apartment there and will make her home here with her brother William Daniels on the North Road. Mr. and Mrs. John Durr entertain ed relatives from Beech Lake, Pi., on Saturday. The keynote address was delivered b y Dr. Solon T. Kimball, Professor of Anthropology at Colum bia University, who discussed social and peer group influences on stu dent behavior.
