Sends ‘Buenos Ayres, July 5—Argeniiue has served an ultimatum on Germany. IFrom reliable sources it was learned today that a note just dispatched to Germany virtually asserts that unless Germany makes Immediate indemni fication for past destruction of Argen tine ships and .grants assurance against future attacks, Argentine will break relations. It is stated that the Argentine note does not include a time limit witbin which th^ repuihlic demands Ger many’s reply, but this limitiatlon was omitted purely because of uncertainty of communication with iBerlln, .Within two weeks Argentine has been approaching the p o in t -where sh e was ready to break relations with Germany. The crux of the sun lies in the case of the Argentine steam ship Protegido. The vessel was tor pedoed, wH®rut warning and several Argentine citizens lost their lives. Germany admitted the sinking, con doned It, and offered reparation, af ter an interchange of note's, Then, after offering reparation, Berlin i parently forgot all about it.
