Judy Mahood, new part·time senior high French teacher, is returning to HF-L. Ms. Mahood previously taught French in the district from 1%7 to 1971 and again in the 1986-87 school year. Pamela Roadman, school psychologist, received her under- graduate and Masters degrees from Eastern Illinois University. She served a one-year internship in Joliet, Illinois and worked in the West Chicago School District for three years before coming to HF- L. These will include social studies for kinder- garten through second grade; ma1hematics in third through sixth grades; science in kindergarten through sixth grade; art in kin- dergarten through grade five and grades nine through twelve; and social sciences in grades nine through twelve. HF-L will also have an expanded middle school ~th program from eighth grade down to include grades six and seven. Orientation for Kindergar- teners took place on Apr. 24 and 25 at the Lima Primary School. An orientation for new staff members will take place on Aug. 31 with the annual Orientation Day for the entire faculty set for Tuesday, Sept. 5.
