Pur- cell of Watertown had been ap- pointed Jefferson county's repre- sentative for the Home Owners Loan association, it was rumored Friday night that Purcell probably would not accept the appointment. Purcell is a member of the law- firm of Purcell, Cullen & Reynolds and is chairman of the Jefferson branch of the tState Democratic JJnion.
