This project was for the Conservation Day held at St. Regis Falls Central School for the sixth graders. The trees were put in plastic bags with a paper towel and a little water. Then, information about 4-H and instructions for planting the small trees were stapled to the bag. At the end of the evening, we had finished 800 trees, and were ready for our greatly deserved dinner. The \85-86\ 4-H year is nearing it's end, and we'd like to say thanks to all of those people who put time in to help us this year. News reporter, Ruth Kerwin We had a 4-H meeting Sept. 15. We discussed the Franklin County Fair. All members said they enjoyed the fair especially the 4-H horse show. We liked the judge, Mr. Cobb, who took time to instruct us as he placed us. He helped us to relax and have a good time. Some members volunteered to work at the 4-H spaghetti fund raiser dinner held in October. We also discussed a camping trip and trail ride, we plan to have Oct. 3 at Chatlands. We discussed proj- ects members completed. We plan to reorganize next month.
