RUMMAGE SALE St. Mary's of the Fort will hold a rummage sale on Thursday and Friday, May 1st and 2nd., 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Benefit of St. Mary's Altar and Rosary Society. Items to be donated can be brought to the Parish Center. SRCS BANQUETS The Spirit Banquet, to honor the 80 members of the SRCS Green Spirit Machine, will be held Tuesday, evening, April 22nd. Covington Cavaliers The 4-H meeting o( March 20 was held at Debbie Dunn's home. All Cavaliers members entered the horse judging contest; this will count as a county event toward the annual awards. Then 4-H members ga- thered around a slide show on bridling, saddling and mount- ing a horse. Refreshments of ice cream sundaes were served celebrat- ing the members who partic- ipated in area demonstrations. All 4-H members did very well. The next meeting was held at Deana Schickel's home March 27. Members dis- cussed the rule of protective headwear. All members must wear protective headgear while they are mounted on a horse in order to be covered by the 4-H insurance plan. Members were given a note for their parents explaining the new rule, cookie sales and the Susan Harris Clinic. Orders will be taken for hats from Liz Simond. The order date is April 2. A choice of Western or English hats is offered. Members then saw a film- strip on assembling and choosing bridles. All members recevied 4-H cookies to sell. A meeting was held April 9 at the Chatland's home. Four-H members who were on level one took an oral test _«nd demonstrated their han- lling abilities. In order to be .hecked off level one, nembers had to pass the bllowing skills: Basic han- iling, riding, care and feeding md equipment. The next meeting will be aeld at the Franklin County Fairgrounds for all members planning to attend to Susan Harris clinic and for other interested members. This meeting will be held April 24. Blind Pond Fish and Game Hunting Club The Blind Fond Fish and Game Hunting Club held its annual meeting at the home of Howard Jock, Sr. on April 10, 1986. Elections were held with the following results: Presi- dent, Howard Jock, Sr.; Vice- President, Paul Lauzon, Secretary-treasurer, Wayne Jock and head huntsman, Howard Jock, Jr. Discussion was held on insurance ana o\ii 'lease ana dues were set for the year. There are a couple of mem- berships available and if anyone is interested, call Wayne Jock at 358-9572 or Howard Jock, Sr. at 358-2639. These memberships include husband, wife and family members up to the age of 18.
