Mail Early The Postal Service is cooperating with the busi ness community of Malone and surrou^ 4 *ng communi- ties in urging customers to shop early and mat! early for the holidays. Postmaster John Pelierin asks holiday shoppers to meal early this year and to make certain that mail is addressed properly, includ- ing zip codes, and packages are wrapped properly, so that cards and letters reach their destination in plenty of time for the holidays. The key to successful hol- iday mailing is to mail early and correctly. Pelierin says that includes planning now for gifts that must travel long distances by Christmas. Customers should also take care to write legible zip- coded addresses for both the address and the return address. Remember that the use of zip codes follow- ing the name of the particu- lar city and state will aid in processing the mail. Another reminder for rural patrons in the Malone and surrounding areas is that all letters be stamped before they go into the mail box. This is only during December. For convenience the Malone office will have two windows available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. This will be for December only. \Last year our customers helped us tremendously. They mailed early in the season and early in the day. We hope they will choose to cooperate with us again this year, so we both will have an enjoyable holiday mailing season,\ Pelierin said. • Opening Friday 'Spies like Us' Chevy Chase Dan Akroyd 7-9:05 8 Holding Over 'That Was i !T5TI This Is Now 1 Warning: Course Language 7 and 9 Last 6 days ' ADWJ The annual Ballard Mill Christmas Open Ho- use...The mere mention of this special event conjures up images of a hugh tree in the lobby, fragrant pine boughs with shiny ribbons, wreaths galore, spicy mulled cider and cleverly crafted gifts.
