Com — HEAD-ON COLLISION SMASHES ONE CAR Two cars came together in a head-on, collision -Saturday near the Tillage li- mits on the 'Malone road resulting in three women receiving minor injuries and one of the ears l>eing -svTeeked be- yond repair. The accident happened when ti light coupe, Plymouth, occupied by three wo- men, driving toward Malone, pulled to the left side of the. high-way in passing a parked truck at the right curb and crashed into a heavy sedan approach- ing from the opposite direction- The bnmper of the sedan struck the radia- tor of the smaller car and. the impact caused a great deal of damage to the coupe and spmng it* chassis. None of the glass in the lighter machine, was broken but the steering wheel was bro- en, apparently by the nody of the driv- er when she was thrown against it at the impact. The three women in the coupe suffer ed numerous injuries, including lacer- ations and bruises about the face antl body, all being of a minor nature. The first reports that one had received a broken leg and the others, wound* of a more serious nature, were unfounded. They were treated at the office of Dr. P. W. Gorman. ' Tlie coupe was towed to the Smellie garage. Names of the occupants of ei- ther car conld not be recalled by wit- neses of the accident but all were stran gers.
