Parmelee. ♦ * * Mrs. John L. Salisbury, Jr. was hostess to the Chatterboxers’ Bridge Club Tuesday evening. * * * Mr. A. P. Hicks frag returned to his home after spending the winter in Florida. * * * Mrs. Pearl Smith entertained at a Stanley Brush party April 24th. Jacquelin , Braxton of Canan daigua spent last week with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Clark.. Their daughter, Mrs. J. M. Braxton, is now a guest, re cuperating- after an operation. * * * Mrs. Kenneth West and daugh ter, Saralee, attended the May Day festivities at Emma Willard School in Troy Saturday. * * * Mrs. Lewis Lee, Pittsburg, Pa., has been visiting her son-in-law and daughter, Dr. and Mrs. Guil ford Mack. • * • Mr. and Mrs. John Nash re cently entertained - twelve rela tives at dinner to celebrate the birthday of their daughter, Mrs. Joseph Haviland. * * * Mrs. William Fisher was a delegate from the Oaks Corners Presbyterian church to the spring meeting of the Geneva- Lyons Presbytery, recently held at SodUB. George F. Cook, elder, Mrs. John Chase and Mr. and Mrs, Dimick also attended. Mr. and Mrs. Ceberp Lee have returned from a five-week va cation spent mostly at Nassau, Bahama Islands. • * * Mrs. Lois Rodriguez, Rochester spent the week end recently, with Mrs. R. C. Ross and sister, Miss Lenora Armstrong. * * * Mrs. Ted Bates is a patient at the Clifton Springs Sanatari- um. Pvt, Frederick Hofer, son of Dr. and Mrs. Alvin Hofer has completed eight weeks of basic training and has returned to Fort Devens, Mass., for re-as signment. * • • Mrs. O. P. GIVE TO CONQUER CANCER * 2 Million Fish Planted in Creek Two million pike, perch, the first shipment of fish; received by the Seneca County Federation of Sportsmen’s dubs this year from the State Conservation Commission, have been “planted” in Kendig’a Creek and at the foot of Seneca Lake in the old canal. Supplied by the Caledonia hatcheries, tjie fish were released Friday by Sheriff G.
