Sue- ACTION TO RECOVER being a heavy, thicl<:-set man his com- panion wa\ compelled to run to the station to surlimon help. With the aid of several men about ·the station, the injured man was placed on a baggage car bound for Gloversville. He was tal<:en to the Littauer Hos- ' pital and Dr. George Lenz was sum- moned. While on the way to Glov- ersville. Arnst lost much blood. At the hospital the patient was informed that amputation of the arm was nec- essary. The man agreed to undergo the operation and the arm was taken off by Dr. Lertz. assisted by Dr. D. A. Murphy of Gloversville. The pa- tient failed to revive after the am- putation as he had lost a large amount of blood and expired with· out gaining consciousness at the hour above named, ceeding that year it was held for three years at Saratoga, in 1904 at \'illiam &arcroft 'Vnnts Damages Gloversville, and for .four years since :tot• Killing of Ganders. Arnst was a man of great stature and considered one of the best lum- bermen in Fulton county. He had been in the employ of the firm of Lair & Rupert for several years.· He enjoyed the friendship of a lari~e cir- cle of woodsmen as well as others who wi.ll be S'hocked at his tragic at Saratoga. Troy's chief claim to recognition lies in the fact that it has not entertained the conference recently, while Saratoga's strength rests in its mineral springs and general popularUy with the clergymen and its central location. By a vote of the conference it was The civil action of William Bear- croft against '\Vesley Lord 'came up in Johnsto•wn Saturday morn<!ng. The action is for ·the recovery of dam- death.
