Wilber, aged died at his home No. 103 Wells street, Monday morning of heart faJil- ure. Mr. Wilber suffered a stroke of paralysis seven years ago and since that time bas been In freebie health. He was born in Jefferson county and was for some time a sailor on the Great Lak(IB. He cam~ to this city about sixty years ago, 'and has resided here· ever since. At one time be was engaged in the glove business under the firm name of Wilber & Sutliff and was a highly respected member of the business community. He was a memb!!t of St. Paul's , T.utberan church and of Cayadutta ·lodge, No. 218. 1. 0. 0. F., and was a charter member. It is said that at the time of the Civil War, wbep, tbe.lodge was weak and in danger of falling to pieces, !t was due to, the elforts of Mr. Wilber that the organ- izatio1]. was held together.
