The end came as the result of heart fail· \ ure. The deceased was in the sixth year of her age. She was born in England, removing to· this coun- try with her parents, and resided for some time in Ilion where she married and removed to this city about thirteen years ago. The de- ceased was a woman of many sterl- ing characteristics, a good, consist- ent Christian, and a dutiful mother, whose absence from the family cir- cle will be most grievously felt. Mrs. Cook was a member of the Presby- terian church of this city. During her residence in Johnstown she made many friends, all of whom will be greatly grieved to learn of her death. Her husband, who is the foreman of the Daily Republican job department, has many friends, a_ll of whom will join in extending their heartfelt sympathy in the present bereavement of himself and family. The surviving· relatives, besides the husband, are three daughters, Grace A., Ella V., and Marion I., who reside at home, the mother, Mrs. Charles R. Williamson of Ilion; three sisters, Mrs. H. s. At- well and Mrs. F. J. Bolles of Ilion, and Mrs. Charles E. Day, of Mo- hawk; also four brothers, William, John, George and Henry, Ilion.
