Lawrence, Mass.-A strange story of love and life was told in the pro- bate court here, where Mrs. Talblot Jabour, after traveling from Cairo, Egypt, contested her husband's sult for divorce. Fourteen, years ago in Syria, she said, she saw Jabour for the last time. He left her, planning to return as suon as be had made his fortune in America, the land of promise. The nest she heard from him he was mar- ried here. On Jubour's side of the story was a still more pathetic tale. He came here, communicated with his wife for some time, then lost track of her. War came ard went and the coun- try in which his wife had been ran red with blood. He received reports she was Gead. Then he maurried a second time. At the wedding were two brothers of his first wife, they too, thinking their sister dead. After he hid two children by his second wife, Jabour, by this time a prosperous realtor, was informed his first wife Lived. He brought suit for divorce, charging desertion, She was informed in Cairo and came Lere to fight him.
