PAGE SEVEN CURRIERS Christmas was such'a.ion'g nona'ay-' this vear that it is a little hard to describe, as with many, people the festivities began on Wednesday. On Wednesday evening the Grange 1 nwmle hac ' ft Christmas tree at their hail On Friday evening . the - chil dren of the community gave a- juve-! „j] e cantata entitled \Children of: Bethlehem\ which was very beautiful and enjoyed by everyone. The chil dren did well, but of course, Curriers children always do well. Then \came tie great hour of the year] when the Christinas tree was. relieved of its load of ffifts. On Sunday morning the Christmas sermon by Rev. E. E. Warner was especially appropriate and inspiring for all who live in small towns. The choir had special Christmas music. On Sunday evening-the choir of' twelve voices gave the beautiful cantata, \A Night in the Orient,\ which closes with the \Hallelujah Chorus\ from the Missiah. The reader was Mi's. Charles Day who deserves much credit in the way in which she presented the Christmas Story This service was. a fitting dose to the Christmas Day- which came on Sunday this year. Even the trees seemed especially decorated for the occasion, as they were so 6parkiinp with frost and ice that it made the whole country look like a beautiful Christmas card. of the families here had Some their gatherings on Saturday, others Sunday and some observed Monday. ID this' way some people were able to have more than one day of festivities LESSON No. 17.
