Carroll, aged 92 years, pased away at herniate home in Johnsonburg, Monday morning. The funeral was held from the house Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. Leland W. Brignall, pastor of the Johnsonburg M. E. church, officiating. Interment took place in the Johnsonburg cemetery. Mrs. Carroll is survived by one daughter, Mrs. William E. Not a dollar of the funds solicited for the chest have been used for expense incident to the collection of the Fund. The Arcade Men's Club, who have sponsored, the Chest Cam paign for the past three years, have assumed and paid all the expenses incident to the campaign. ^ The farmers in the eastern part* of Wyoming'county will have .a ban quet at the Commodore Hotel in Perry on Wednesday evening, Decem ber 7, at 7 o'clock. Mr. Jared Van Wagnen, prominent writer and speaker on farm topics, will be the speaker. The banquet is arranged under the auspices of the Wyoming county farm bureau, and anyone in terested in farming, whether mem bers of the organization or not, is invited to attend. Mr. Van Wagnen spoke last winter at the Rotary Club in Perry and the farmer members of the Rotary Club who heard him have urged that ho be invited to come again to Perry, so that all farmers in that section of the county might have an opportun ity to hear him. After canvasing the vote of the recent election, the Board went into annual session. Mr. . Roberts presented a motion designating the Wyoming Reporter as the Republicanpaper { to \print the official canvass for 1927, Election notice, Sheriff's proclamation* and town and county audits. Carried. Mr. Chappel presented a motion designating the Perry Herald as the Republican paper to print the con current resolutions and amendment* for 1928. Carried. A report from the state shows that the sum of $41,017.19 will have to be raised by the county in direct state tax. Of this the armory tax amounts to $4714.49, and the court and ste nographers' tax $2271.63, Mr. Kershaw presented the report of the Bliss Memorial Fund and mov ed its acceptance. This showed that there was a'balance on hand Novem ber 1, 1926, of $2,496.58, interest on mortgage amounted to $300 and^on cash $60 or a grand total receipts of $2,846.58. There was paid out for supplies, etc., during the year $313- .70, leaving a balance on hand of $2,532.88 and the mortgage on the property of $6,000. Carried. , Mr. George presented the follow ing petition. The Medical Society of Wyoming County in session Octo ber 25, 192.7, voted unanimously to. petition the Wyoming County Board of Supervisors for $1500 for county nurse. This sum will pay one-half the salary and expenses of a state aid county public health nurse for Wyo ming county. Dr. Dean of James town, district health, officer was ex tended the courtesy of the floor rind urged, the necessity of hiring such a nurse.
