RICHARD HOOPER DIED TUESDAY Mr. Richard Hooper, aged 67 years died suddenly at his home on Pros pect street, Arcade, at 1:15 p. m. Tuesday, after a year of failing health. The funeral services will be. held today at 1:30 at the house, and 2 p. m. in the Baptist church. The burial will be in Sandusky cemetery. Richard Hooper was born June 26, 1860, at Farmersville, and his entire life was spent in this section, -where he was highly esteemed by all. For the past twenty-five years he has liv ed in Arcade, where he was a' faithful envployee of the Oak Knitting Mill Co. During the past year, failing health had necessitated his\ refrain ing from all work. He is.survived by his,wife, one son, Lloyd Hooper of Arcade, and three 'grandchildren, who have the sympathy of all in their bereavement Richard Hooper was a member of Arcade Lodge No. ^19 F. & A. M. The lodge will participate in funeral ceremonies. When just east of Sardinia the steering gear refused to work and the- auto ran into a telephone pole. The glass from the windshield cut Miss George in forty places, while Mr. Rogers- es^ caped with a: cut on, his -lip. Dr. B, D. Shedd was called and dressed the wounds. DEER VISITS - ' REED-WELLES FARM tt ednesday, when Ray Welles went out m the field back of the barn on the Heed-Welles farm, just west of the l'ennsylvania depot at Arcade, he saw a'deer'loping along across the neld. The deer did not seem to he m a hurry, but remained in the field while he was loading the wagon. So^n after the deer disappeared.
