AMENDMENTS DEFEATED IN COUNTY BUT CAR RIED IN STATE WITH EXCEPTION OF NO. 6. WYOMING COUNTY REPUBLICAN TICKET ELECTED The results o f Tuesday's election showed Republican gains all along the line. In the Assembly, in Buffalo, on the Board of Supervisors and in town officials. The following are the Wyoming County officials elected: Member of Assembly, Joseph R. Hanley, of Perry. « County Clerk, Benjamin F. Will iams of Warsaw. District Attorney, Lynn S. Bent- ley of Arcade. -Superintendent of the Poor, E. G. Stanley of Johnsonburg. Coroner, A. L . Seyse of Arcade. Majorities in County figures: J It. Hanley, 2877. B. F Williams, 4079 v L S. Bentley, 2585. Dr. A. L. Seyse, 2950. Delevan Child is Dead Of Infantile Paralysis ARCADE There was a hot contest in Arcade over supervisor. Dr. L . W ; Ham, Republican, was elected by 137 ma jority, carrying three o f the four dis trict* and losing the qther district by only six votes. This is splendid evi dence of the esteem in which Dr. Ham in held by the voters of the town. Last election Supervisor Park er carried the town by 118. The re mainder of the town ticket was all Republican with the exception of the superintendent o f highways, which was won by Uly McCraley, the Demo cratic candidate b y 176 votes, surely a fine compliment to him personally and the work he has' done on the town highways. After nominations were made a report gained circulation that Mr, Bnggs was going south, which un doubtedly accounted in a large meas urc for the vote he received. Miller, who lost a leg recently, and ^sympathy ran strong for him. Pauline, 14-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Hickey, died at her home\ Xuesaay morning of inian- file paralysis. Feeling jll while at school last Wednesday, her teacher excused her. From that time the on set of the disease was rapid, taking its toll at 9 a. m., Tuesday. This is the second time within nine months that death has entered the Hickey home. A daughter, 26 years old, Winona Hickey Robinson, died in March of pneumonia. In April, Betty Hickey, 9 years old, fell from a lumber pile while playing, breaking her arm and leg. She was in a Buf- [[falo~hospital several months, being unable to walk. - Those who survive Pauline aVe her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Hickey; three brothers, Neil Walter and Paul; two sisters, Mary and- Betty Hickey. A private funeral was held in the home Wednesday morning. This part of the tour proved '.extremely interesting to most of the farmers. One disappointmnet was the 'fact that no tubercular cattle were being slaughtered that,day and many farmers who were-anxious to see how their T .
