It is with deep regret that we learn that Raymond J Wieloszynski, editor and publisher of the Franklinville weekly newspaper, NewsTime, has decided to cease publication. This decision wQl break a 95 year old continuity of weekly publication in Franklinville Since it is our sincere belief that newspaper coverage is vital to every community, Tri-County Times has already discussed with community leaders plans to provide such coverage for the affected area. We are listing below some of the more impressive activities that will be carried on. 1 The stars and stripes, our national flag will fly 2 Teach-ins will be the order of the day at the local schools each class will devote the day to a consideration of the specific dynamic stens that can be (Continued on page iuo f In Death Of Two Dead as the result of grass f ires m Wyoming County last week are Mrs. Nora Wilson, 58, of Route 77, Strykersville, and Fred Shaffner, 83, of Route 39, Castile Mrs. Wilson was found dead in scorched grass behind her trailer home by a neighbor, Walter Beaver Mr Beaver discovered the fire and tried unsuccessfully to beat it out with a shoveL Mrs. Wilson, sheriffs deputies theorized, had been burning trash and tried to stamp out the flames which spread to the grass An autopsy to determine the cause of death was ordered. Mr Shaffner died in Buffalo Emergency Hospital's Burn Treatment Center after suffering burns on the lower part of his body when he tried to stamp out a grass fire behind his home His brother, Victor, 70. tried to save him and was burned on his hands and face Accident Ends Party Bruce Schaus, 20, of Yorkshire Corners received severe head and face lacerations early Saturday morning when a car he was driving rammed a tree head on Bruce had been host at a farewell party for his brother Gerald Schaus, who is leaving for military service this week Bruce was found by other guests and taken to Chaffee Memorial Hospital for observation Spring Cleanup Week In Arcade The week of May 4 has been designated as Spring Cleanup Week in the Village of Arcade Watch next week's Tri-County Times for details. Pioneer Central School Dedicated Spring Clean-Up Week In Delevan May 4-9 Warner Relyea, village clerk, has announced that Spring Cleanup Day will be held in the Village of Delevan May 4-9, inclusive Residents are asked to place their rubbish at the curb by 8 a m on Saturday, May 9 and the Department of Public Works trucks will haul it away Garbage collections will be made by the collector on the regular Saturday schedule Republican Dinner Scheduled For April 25th At Holland The Republican Committee of Holland has completed plans for its annual dinner party which will be held at 7 p.m on Saturday, April 25, at the American Legion hall Bob Robinson, committee chairman, announces that Barber B Conable, member of Congress from the 37tlj District will be the speaker Revision of the Congressional boundary lines by the 1970 State Legislature places Holland in the 37th district Mr Conable, whose home is in Alexander, has represented the 37th district for the past five years.
