The play, \The Spirit Wan Willirg,\ was chosen by the Gulld's play-reading commit- tee, under the chairmanship of Mrs. Irene Smyda. She said the committee bad read several published plays and thought this was the best. The committee also felt that to pre- sent an original play for its first edult production in Greece would be an exciting pros- pect. The Guild president, Mrs. Jean Hess, announced that she hoped to see the Gulld's ac- tivities expand Into opera, bal- let, ard dramatic readings. She also envisioned a separate children's theater reperatory group. With these prospects in mind plus frequent dramatic pre- sentations, the Guild is inter- ested in an unlimited cumber of people for acting, back- stage, ind production posi- tions. The Gulld was organized last October erd presented a children's play, \The Reluc- tant Dragon\ in the Spring.
